Hard water can negatively impact your home, including decreased water quality and damaged plumbing pipes. You may need a whole-home water softener if you are fighting:
Excessive soap scum and residue buildup in your sinks, showers, and tubs
Dull and discolored clothes after washing
Clogged pipes and reduced water flow
Plumbing issues and frequent repairs
Dry and itchy skin
Difficulty lathering soap and shampoo
Stains on plumbing fixtures and appliances
Mineral deposits on glassware and dishes
In today’s climate, soft, clean water isn’t a luxury—it’s a must.
By preventing mineral buildup in pipes and appliances, water softeners help extend their lifespan and efficiency.
Mineral-free water results in cleaner, spot-free dishes, glassware, and silverware.
Water softeners prevent mineral buildup in fabric, keeping clothes brighter and softer.
With fewer mineral deposits in pipes and appliances, water softeners help systems like water heaters and dishwashers run more efficiently, reducing energy usage.

Two common minerals give water its hardness, calcium and magnesium. These minerals can build up in hot-water heaters and appliances, causing premature failure.
Due to hard water being made of calcium or magnesium, as it dries, a residue of these components may be left behind on surfaces. This is what soap scum is in your tub, spots on dishes or countertops, and also crusty build-up in your pipes and water-using appliances. Other items that may be affected are a rough feeling on washed clothes and white residue on bathroom fixtures.
By installing a water softener and conditioning system, you can remove magnesium and calcium from your water supply. These two components can be harmful to your household, including plumbing and appliances that use water. The systems we offer soften, condition, and filter your water for better taste and quality.
Our company was founded over three decades ago on the simple yet powerful principle of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” As a 2nd generation, family-owned and operated business we are passionate about improving the quality of life of our customers while also being environmentally responsible. At Quality Home Services your family is our family and we take pride in providing you the best customer service your family deserves.
Most water treatment equipment installed by Quality Home Services comes with a 1-year free service policy. Should a concern arise during the first year, please call us to schedule a check-up at no charge. After the first year, systems should be serviced annually. We remind customers via email, text, and mailers.
We offer well water testing, and we can also help you locate a certified laboratory where you can get your well water tested. Oftentimes, these places will send you kits, either for free or at a cost, so that you can test your water yourself. You’ll have to mail or drop off the results at the laboratory of your choice. Water samples are typically time-sensitive and should be tested within 30 hours of being collected. After handing in your water sample, you’ll typically need to wait a few days or weeks to get your results back. If this sounds too complicated, call us and we can help you!
You should get your well tested so you know the quality of water your family is using. Typically, well water should be tested at least once a year, but if you’ve recently moved to a home that uses well water, or have noticed a strange taste or smell in your water, you could benefit from a water test. A well water test can identify if any volatile organic compounds (VOC's) are present in your water as well as water hardening minerals.
